Taipei Zoo 臺北市立動物園 (Part 1)

It is very easy to go to Taipei Zoo. Just take the MRT and stop at 'Taipei Zoo' Station (the last station of the route) and the zoo is just located next to the station. 


The zoo is open daily except Chinese New Year and the operating hour is as follow:
  • Zoo Hours: 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (no entry after 4:00 p.m.)
  • Animals Exhibit: 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (indoor and outdoor exhibits)

Entrance Fees

  • Adults: NT$ 60
  • Discount Prices: NT$ 30
    1. Children between 6-12 years of age.
    2. School student with student card.
    3. Military and police personnel with identification.
    4. Low income households with certification from Taipei City Government.
  • Groups of 30 people or more: 30% discount.
  • Free admission qualifications:
    1. Children under the age of 6.
    2. Handicapped individuals (with certification) and one companion.
    3. School excursions (with application and approval documents).
    4. Retired public servants and teachers (with retirement card).
    5. Seniors 65 years old and over (with identity card).
    6. Tour guides with Tourism Bureau authorization.

Internal Shuttle Train

  • Single Ride: NT$ 5 (exact change).
  • Free admission qualifications:
    1. Children below 120 cm in height.
    2. Handicapped individuals (with certification).
  • Operating Hours: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Shuttle Train Route: Main Shuttle Train Station ←→ Bird World Station
  • Main Shuttle Train Station is located beside the Koala House.

If you are bringing your child or baby, you can rent a stroller here at the cost of NTD 50 which is very reasonable!!!
