Temiar Blockade in Gua Musang, Kelantan - Site 1

The Orang Asli is very much dependent on the natural resources of their land (jungle) for their daily life. They have staying there for more than half a decade and yet their rights to the land is not recognized. The logging activity that carried out on their land has seriously affected their life and their future. Furthermore, resources were taken by outsiders and they didn't even get a cent for that. (Been there in 2011 for a research trip and feel really sad for the affected environment and the natural resources. The original people, minority, of the land have been marginalized and colonized by the outsiders, majority)...

Therefore, they have stood up and show their feeling to those who never want to listen. These photos were taken from Center for Orang Asli Concerns (COAC) Facebook account. If you interested to follow the story, please join their Facebook account by clicking here. Thank you.
