Lok Thian Duck King, Kuching

My sister in law came to Kuching last week and we went to Lok Thian Duck King to have our lunch. We ordered half duck instead of four small portions for four persons.

This is the most delicious duck i ever had!!!! Must try!!!!!!!

Pre-departure for my UMS (Sabah) Trip

I'm going to UMS (Sabah) on this Sunday to meet my students who went there by UNIMAS Bus...

Actually this is a visiting trip organized by the Persatuan Fakulti Sains Sosial, UNIMAS, for the purpose of ideas and knowledge exchange.

Other than my ordinary camera and lenses, the following are the additional gears which i'll bring along for this trip (Canon F2.8 70mm-20mm IS USM L & Canon external flash 430 EXII).

The food is fine but the customer service was really bad. It was like paying money to look at their a*s faces...

Unimas Inter F/I/P/B Bowling Competition

We had our bowling competition on last weekend and FSS (Faculty of Social Sciences) has sent 2 teams to compete in the competition.
Although our teams are not among the top 10, i still manage to win an individual prize, which is Individual High Game!!! It has been a while, in fact i can't remember when was the last time i score more than 200... Haha, this time i manage to score 220 in my second game.

Is this the standard of Pizza Hut, Kuching???

I went to one of the Pizzza Hut outlets in Kuching with my friend last weekend, who are originally from Penang, now working in Miri (Petronas) and came to Kuching for a visiting.

When the ordered pizza arrived, my friend discovered that the pan is full of carbon as shown in the photo below:
He told me that he worked in Pizza Hut before, and he knows that this is not acceptable in terms of quality and in fact, it is not healthy to have the pizza together with this carbon. Thus, he asked the manager to our table and ask her regarding the carbon around the pan.

As explains by the manager, old pans always have this carbon around and this is biasa (normal). My friend couldn't accept the answer and ask her did they check and wash the pan before putting it into the oven??? Then the manager said something without any concrete answer and i can't remember what she says since i don't wanna involve into the issue. Then the manager goes to the kitchen and check it out.

After few minutes, she came back, apologize to us and said that she will prepare another pizza for us (for free) so that we can look at their 'actual quality and standard'. After the pizza came, we don't dare to eat with few reasons... (don't wanna mention here) and we left that pizza on the table after finishing our own original pizza.

Did you aware of the carbon when having your pizza in Pizza Hut?

Is this call URBAN POVERTY (Penang)

I just can't believe my eyes when seeing this happen in front of me...

This happened 2 days before the CNY when i was in Penang. I and my friend went to 'Little India' as my friend wants to change his AUD into RM.

While waiting for him to change the money, i saw a group of women and children came into the money exchange outlet without any talking, but only put their hands out and turn their palms up in front of the person in charge. Without asking any question, that person gives them 10 to 20 cents each, then this group of people left and went to other money exchange outlets to do the same thing (not sure whether they go to other shops which are not money exchange). The whole process takes less than 10 seconds.

I asked myself, did they came and do the same thing everyday? What is going on with Penang? Is this call Urban Poverty?

Onitsuka Tiger (Zinnia Rakugaki)

I think this is a special edition (not sure) as it is not selling in Malaysia. One guy in 'The Spring' asked me where i bought it coz he likes the design.

Not much cushion and in fact, no extra cushion at all. Nice to wear for casual... but don't wear it for long hour walking or traveling, coz you are looking for trouble... haha

This shoe comes with two sets of shoe laces... purple and yellow. Yellow shoe lace is kind of too sharp for me, so i prefer to put the purple one all the time...

Fifi & Dudu

A day before and the 1st day of Chinese New Year, my parents and i, together with Fifi and Dudu, go to Butterworth for kind of 'vacation' since my dad rent an apartment over there.

The big sister, Fifi, afraid of fire crackers, and we know that she does not like CNY as the only place that we can find her during that time is either inside a room, under a wardrobe, under a table or somewhere else that she feels safe...

Dudu is doing a lot better that Fifi in terms fire crackers, she is just relaxing in the living room and hope that someone is willing to play with her... haha
